CONTRACT RETENTION FOR CHARLTON HOUSE - AUG 08

The King’s Fund, an independent charitable foundation based in the heart of the West End in Cavendish Square, has retained Charlton House for a further three years.

The independent caterer has held the contract since 2003 and the business is worth £800K in annual turnover. Charlton House will continue to manage a restaurant, café bar and full conference and events catering services for the charity.

Commenting on Charlton House’s success, Nico Prinsloo, Charlton House business development director, said:” After a tough tender process against some stiff competition, we were delighted that The King’s Fund has chosen to stay with us. We couldn’t ask for a better vote of confidence. We are now working closely with our colleagues at Chester Boyd to help The King’s Fund to expand the commercial aspect of the contract by marketing it as a highly attractive venue for conferences and other events to maximise revenue for the charity.”

The King’s Fund seeks to understand how the health system in England can be improved. Using that insight, it helps shape policy, transform services and bring about behaviour change. Its work includes research, analysis, developing leaders and improving services. It also offers a wide range of resources to help everyone working in health share knowledge, learning and idea.
