Charlton House was awarded IIP accreditation in mid 1997. We were then re-accredited in 1999, 2001 and most recently in the spring of 2004. If there is one thing other than food that we are known for it is our service.

The following comments were passed on by the IIP assessor after the last assessment made on Charlton House.

“After speaking in confidence to 60 people I selected across over 20 locations, I can say that the assessment I undertook at Charlton House was the best of a multi site company in my 11 years undertaking over 350 assessments.

Every member of staff I spoke to expressed pride in the organisation and appreciation of the training, development and personal support provided by their line manager and head office”.

Why we sought Accreditation?

Back in 1997 we had grown from a small business run from my back bedroom to a large and successful enterprise. We needed to ensure that, as we expanded, our communication channels were working as well as they should.

As a result of our involvement with Investors in People we have noticed a significant improvement in our staff retention, we have improved our employee relations, and employed a training officer to ensure that we continue to develop what we have learnt from the scheme”.
