Sourcing and retaining staff within the food industry is an issue that looks set to stay.  Attracting the right people is one thing, but ensuring that they remain motivated and feel valued is an additional challenge for any manager. 

This is why we have invested in a dedicated Recruitment Manager as part of our Client Resources team.  

The role, filled by professional recruitment specialist, Meeta Bidgood, helps us to source the right candidates, handle the recruitment process professionally and thoroughly, while maintaining our managers’ focus on providing an excellent service for our clients.

Meeta Bidgoodl’s role encompasses:

  • building strong relationships with many catering colleges – such as the Westminster & Kingsway College in London;
  • raising the profile of Charlton House as an Employer of Choice at exhibitions and Careers Fairs;
  • managing a data base of speculative or past applicants, so that we have a ready supply of candidates when a future opportunity arises;
  • managing in-house promotions and development of staff
  • Placing adverts for senior staff and managing applicants
  • Carrying out first line interviews and short-listing potential people on behalf of managers, improving their productivity in the recruitment process.
