COMPANY STRENGTHENS SCOTTISH PORTFOLIO - DEC 07

Charlton House has gained a catering contract with the Department for International Development (DFID) in East Kilbride, Glasgow and in Palace Street, London.

DFID is responsible for leading the British Government's fight against world poverty.

Under a three-year deal worth £370,000 in annual turnover, the independent caterers commenced catering at the two DFID sites on 3rd December 2007 when they took over from the incumbents, Yes Dining.

A team of 12 Charlton House staff now provides a breakfast and lunch service for 1,000 DFID employees at the London site and 600 people at the East Kilbride site.

Robyn Jones, chief executive and co-founder of Charlton House said:” Our experience of managing prestigious and complex Government contracts, such as Her Majesty’s Treasury, has helped us to gain this contract.”
