CHARLTON HOUSE LAUNCHES PUBLIC CATERING DIVISIONIndependent contract catering firm, Charlton House, is launching a new division to specialise in the public catering sector. The new division - Charlton House Restaurants - will be spear headed by Nigel Hutson, former managing director of Digby Trout Restaurants, who joined Charlton House on Monday 8th October 2007 as Divisional Managing Director. Tim Jones, co-founder and chairman of Charlton House, said: ” Our aim is to accelerate growth within this highly prized niche market. The market is crying out for new, quality operators within the public catering sector, and we are in a strong position to take advantage of the many opportunities available by targeting new prospectives such as museums, art galleries and other cultural, historical and heritage sites. With the synergies that already exist between the public catering sector, our existing B&I and Chester Boyd portfolios, we are confident that this strategy will strengthen our position as a leading independent operator and innovator”. Nigel Hutson said:” Charlton House is in a strong position to make an impact within this new market because it is already a well-respected player due to its reputation and expertise in managing commercial catering contracts. Being a privately owned, independent company is a huge plus, as is the sound financial footing and robust infrastructure that is already in place. Our goal for Charlton House Restaurants is to become the new benchmark for the public catering sector, in the same way as Charlton House continues to set standards within the food service sector.” |
