ROBYN JONES SUPPORTS WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT

Robyn Jones, co-founder and chief executive of independent staff catering firm, Charlton House, is sponsoring the Sue Ryder Care Women of Achievement Awards 2007. The Awards are open to women in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire – the three counties supported by Sue Ryder Care - Nettlebed Hospice in Oxfordshire, which provides specialist palliative care to people and their families. Charlton House has managed the catering operation on site since 1999.

The Women of Achievement Awards celebrate local women whose contributions to business, education, the community, arts or recreation deserve to be brought to light. Nominated women may have a connection to Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire or Berkshire, and can be nominated under the categories: Care/Community, Arts, Recreation or Education/Enterprise.

Geraldine Harmon from Sue Ryder Care, said: "Charlton House have been working with Sue Ryder Care - Nettlebed Hospice for several years and their support goes above and beyond that of a usual supplier. We need to raise over £1.4 million this year to care for people with advanced life-limiting conditions from Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. Having a sponsor like Charlton House Catering Services Ltd on board for this event helps us make the most of every £1 we make through ticket sales."

Tickets for the awards evening on 22nd November are available at £70 each and all proceeds will go to the charity.

Robyn Jones said: “ I am always delighted to support and encourage female talent, particularly an initiative such as this which is so close to home and such a worthy cause. The team at Sue Ryder Care at Nettlebed does tremendous work, helping countless families each year throughout Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. “

Award winners will each receive a trophy, an exclusive Michael Kors watch kindly donated by Fossil UK Ltd and will appear in the local press. Sponsors for the event include Invesco Perpetual, the Henley Standard, Fossil UK Ltd and Charlton House Catering Services Ltd.

Robyn Jones, current holder of the title ‘ Credit Suisse Most Outstanding Business Woman of the Year for 2006’ has also been invited to judge this year’s finalists for the same title in the prestigious National Business Awards in November.
