CHARLTON HOUSE SALES DRIVE REACHES £6.5 MILLION

Independent staff caterer, Charlton House, has clocked up £6.5 million worth of new business in the first quarter of 2007. The latest gain is a staff catering contract with BMW (UK) Ltd, worth £1 million in annual turnover.

Under a three-year deal, Charlton House took over from the incumbents in March, and now caters for 500 BMW staff at the car manufacturer’s UK corporate headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire; 400 at BMW Financial Services in Hook, Hampshire, and 350 at a BMW Vehicle Distribution Centre in Thorne, near Doncaster.

The contract has come quickly on the heels of many other prestigious gains in recent months, including The Law Society, Independent News & Media and Norton Rose. Charlton House has also extended its contract with Legal & General at its UK corporate headquarters in Hove, Brighton.

“We are on quite a roll,” said Caroline Fry, joint managing director of Charlton House. “The calibre of the companies which we are attracting is an indication of our own high standards and our reputation for delivering our promises. Based on figures to date, 2007 looks set to be a very good year for Charlton House. We are just over half way through our financial year and we are already outperforming our financial targets.”

Charlton House currently holds 135 contracts nationwide and enjoys an annualised turnover of £54 million. Other clients include Her Majesty’s Treasury, The National Assembly for Wales, Cardiff Bay, London Zoo and the corporate headquarters of BUPA, Sony (United Kingdom) Ltd and Network Rail.
