INDEPENDENT CATERER GAINS £1.9 MILLION CONTRACT Charlton House has gained a £1.9 million staff catering contract with the international legal practice, Norton Rose, at the firm’s signature office building at 3 More London Riverside, adjacent to the Scoop and City Hall buildings in the South Bank business district. The three-year contract is due to start in May 2007 when a team of 45 Charlton House staff will manage the entire catering operation for 1,300 Norton Rose employees, who will relocate to the Greenfield site from six different London locations. The independent caterer will manage a dedicated client dining facility on the ninth floor of the building, which was designed by the internationally acclaimed architects, Foster and Partners. Other services include a staff restaurant with a terrace overlooking the Thames, a café deli bar, a retail outlet and extensive hospitality. Commenting on the gain, Tim Jones, co-founder and chairman of Charlton House, said: ”This is an exceptional win for us. It underlines our reputation and proven success with law firms, and shows that we have the expertise, passion and flexibility to operate within this demanding sector.” Charlton House’s innovative approach, cutting edge food and experience with other City law firms contributed to Norton Rose’s decision to appoint the independent caterers.
