CHARLTON HOUSE SHORT LISTED FOR NATIONAL BUSINESS AWARDS - AUG 08

Charlton House has been named a finalist in the National Business Awards 2008, under the 3i Growth Strategy Award category. This Award will go to an organisation that can best demonstrate an organic growth strategy (rather than merger & acquisition activity) that has achieved outstanding levels of sales, profit and market share improvement.

The winners of each category will be announced and presented with their trophy on stage during the Awards Ceremony & Dinner on the 18th November 2008, at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Charlton House’s phenomenal growth to date, from starting the business seventeen years ago on a £50 weekly Government enterprise allowance to having an annual turnover of £75m today - and just one acquisition along the way – has secured the independent caterer a place in the finals.

The National Business Awards is the UK’s number-one, cross-industry Awards programme.

Any company within the UK, whether public or private, can enter the Awards - regardless of size or industry. Described by Gordon Brown as the ‘Business Oscars,’ The National Business Awards attracts entries from a wide variety of successful organisations, from FTSE 250’s through to thriving entrepreneurial businesses.
